HA2 Task 3

Pac-man
Pac-Man is an arcade game developed by Namco and licensed for distribution in the United States by Midway, first released in Japan on May 22, 1980. Pac-Man was designed to have no ending as long as the player keeps at least one life, he or she should be able to play the game indefinitely. Originally called puck man.
When the player controls Pac-man through a maze, Pac-man eats Pac-dots or pellets and when they are all eaten Pac-man is taken to the next stage.  When Pac-man eats power pellets it allows Pac-man to eat the four enemies. I like Pac-man because I like that he looks like pizza missing a slice.

Sonic

Sonic The Hedgehog is a title character and the protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series released by Sega, as well as in numerous spin-off comics, cartoons, and a feature film. The first game was released on June 23, 1991, to provide Sega with a mascot to rival Nintendo's flagship character Mario. Since then, Sonic has become one of the world's best-known video game characters, with his series having sold more than 80 million copies.

Sonic has to stop enemies including the main enemy Dr Eggman, sonic has the ability to run at supersonic speeds and the ability to curl into a ball to attack enemies. I like sonic because

Mario

Mario is a fictional character in the Mario video game franchise by Nintendo, created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. Serving as Nintendo's mascot and the eponymous protagonist of the series, Mario has appeared in over 200 video games since his creation. Mario currently appears in varied video game genres such as racing, puzzle, party, role-playing, fighting and sports.
Mario is a short, Italian plumber who resides in the Mushroom Kingdom. He repeatedly rescues Princess Peach from the villain Bowser and stops his numerous plans to destroy him and take over the kingdom.

Mario can jump on enemies to take them out, Mario gains new jumping abilities, such as a sideways somersault, a ground pound, and the "Wall Jump", which propels him upwards by kicking off walls. I like Mario because I like that he wants to be hero I will do anything to save someone.

Rayman

Rayman was created by Michel Ancel when he began designing his first game as director at Ubisoft. The original character had a big nose as well as beady eyes made using simple geometric shapes; Ancel said in a 2011 interview that it was quite simple, but funny at the same time.

Rayman had to defend his home from Mr Dark. Rayman's abilities consist of attacking his enemies by winding up his fists and throwing them at his enemies, floating through the air and descending slowly by using his hair as a helicopter propeller, and the ability to live and survive without his body parts attached.

He also has the ability to attack his enemies with energy balls. I like Rayman because I like that he can punch quite far with no arms.

Angry birds

Angry Birds is a video game franchise created by Finnish computer game developer Rovio Entertainment. Inspired primarily by a sketch of stylized wingless birds, the first game was first released for Apple's iOS in December 2009. Since that time, over 12 million copies of the game have been purchased from Apple's App Store, which has prompted the company to design versions for other touchscreen-based smartphones, such as those using the Android operating system, among others.

The birds have to get their egg back from the bad piggies. There are different types of birds Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, white, boomerang, big brother, orange, pink. Red is strong ,blue can split into three, yellow can go fast, black can blow up, white can drop egg bombs, boomerang is like a boomerang, big brother is bigger than red, orange can expand, pink traps objects in bubbles. I like angry birds because I like that they will do anything to get their eggs back from the bad piggies.

Donkey Kong

The Donkey Kong series of video games feature the adventures of a large ape called Donkey Kong, created by Shigeru Miyamoto. The original Donkey Kong game was the first appearance of Mario, Nintendo's flagship character, pre-dating the well-known Super Mario Bros. by four years.

Donkey Kong has to stop his nemesis from taking his bananas. Donkey Kong uses barrels to take down enemies. I like Donkey Kong because he is guerrilla and that he looks very strong and not to be messed with.

Space invaders

Space invaders is an arcade video game designed by Tomohiro Nishikado, and released in 1978. It was originally manufactured and sold by Taito in Japan, and was later licensed for production in the United States by the Midway division of Bally. Space Invaders is a two-dimensional fixed shooter game in which the player controls a laser cannon by moving it horizontally across the bottom of the screen and firing at descending aliens.

The player has to shoot the aliens and protected by four bunkers that can be used to dodge their shots. A special "mystery ship" will occasionally move across the top of the screen and award bonus points if destroyed. I like space invaders because it is fun and addictive as you try to get the aliens before they get you.

Barry

Barry Steakfries is the main character in Jetpack Joyride. The story behind Jetpack Joyride is that Barry is stuck in a dead-end job and comes across a secret facility where he sees a jetpack as a way of escaping. Barry then, sure enough, breaks into the facility and steals the Jetpack, proceeding to wreak havoc any way he can.

On his joyride, Barry finds Coins, Spin Tokens and many Hazards. He has brown hair, a tie, a shirt, pants and little dots which would be his "Five O'clock Shadow". You can change his Clothing in The Stash (where you can upgrade him).  I like Barry because he looks cool with jetpack and the beard, I also like that he looks like a menace.

Om Nom

Om Nom is a little green monster and the main protagonist in Cut the Rope. You must feed him with Candy, and he is found in every level. If the Candy drops off-screen or gets destroyed, Om Nom will groan in disappointment and make a sad face.
Om nom has no abilities and all he does is eat the candy. I like om nom because he looks cool and I like that he is obsessed with candy.

Bowser
Bowser, also known as King Koopa, is a video game character and the primary antagonist of Nintendo's Mario franchise. In Japan, the character is known as Koopa and bears the title of Daimaō (Great Demon King) Bowser was the creation of Nintendo designer and producer Shigeru Miyamoto. Miyamoto had first envisioned Bowser as an ox, basing him on the Ox King from the Toei Animation film Alakazam the Great.

Bowser kidnaps princess peach in super Mario. He sometimes works with the heroes to defeat a greater evil but mainly the main villain. He is physically powerful, can breathe fire and has skills in black magic. I like bowser because he is tough boss to defeat in super Mario and like that he can breathe fire.

HA2 Task 1

Project Charter
I have 5 and a half weeks to produce a 2d vector character for a live external client, Lazy eye media which is to be used in a range of new media applications from casual gaming, web advertising and smartphone/tablet apps. The 2d character has to have a personality and soul that the viewer can connect with. It is possible that there will be merchandise spin-offs. When I have decided on the character I will produce a profile on the chosen character. I will also collect my top 10 favourite 2d characters to help decide what sort of 2d character I will produce. I will create a schedule so I can break the tasks down within the project from start to finish. I will update my schedule and production log during my study periods throughout the week. I will also have to create a presentation which must be 720 pixels wide x 576 pixels high at 25 fps. The feedback that I will get from the client and the production log will me to look back over the project and write an evaluation. I will be able to know whether or not that I have achieved my goals and those of the clients. This will allow me to move on to the next assignment.
